Anna Mae LaPier

Anna Mae LaPier, 84, of Marienville, PA, died Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Warren General Hospital in Warren, PA.

            Born October 18, 1935 in Corinth, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leman and Mary (Masters) Wood.

            On April 2, 1954, she married Elwin John LaPier Sr. in Corinth, NY.  He preceded her in death on July 16, 1992.  Mrs. LaPier was of the Baptist faith.  She spent her life has a housewife, caring for her family.

            Survivors include four sons, Elwin LaPier Jr. of Moosup, CT, Calvin LaPier and his wife, Bonnie, of Marienville, Carl LaPier and his wife, Freda, of Leeper, and Bruce LaPier and his wife, Mairi, of Stephens City, VA; four daughters, Beth Roraback and her husband, Phil, of Marienville, Bessie Bouchard and her husband, Jim, of Marienville, Edith Haney of Newington, CT, and Lurina Galusha and her husband, Dusty, of Minden, NE; one son-in-law, Steve Steady of Glastonbury, CT and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is one brother, Robert Wood and his wife, Janet, of Lake Lazern, NY; two sisters, Grace McCauley and her husband, George, of Kingsland, GA and Edith Tubbs of Lake Lazern, NY.

            In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. LaPier is preceded in death by two daughters, Karen Collins and Rebecca Steady and one brother, Ken Wood.

            Interment will be in the Donahey Cemetery, Millstone Twp., Elk County.

            Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA. No services will be held.
