Charles Leo Clinger, 66, of Corsica, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Born on October 24, 1951 in Brookville, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Edna (Walmer) Clinger.
Chuck was a 1969 graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School. He was formerly employed by C&K Coal Company and enjoyed operating heavy equipment. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, and cutting firewood.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda D. (Wonderling) Clinger; two sons, Michael C. Clinger and his wife Amy, of Brookville and Joshua J. Clinger and his wife Elizabeth of Brookville; along with five grandchildren, Lindsey, Jacob, Makayla, Brady, and Bryce.
Also surviving are two brothers, Ron Clinger and his wife Betsy, of Treasure Lake and Bob Clinger and his wife Karen, of Corsica; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward and Montrose Wonderling, of Brookville; and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Corsica Volunteer Fire Company (201 Main St, Corsica, PA 15829) or Pisgah Presbyterian Church (36 Church St., Corsica, PA 15829).
