Diane McDowell Obituary

Diane Lynn McDowell, 64, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Altoona died Sunday June 24, 2018 at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney.

She was born on October 18, 1953 in Monongahela, PA to the late Eckles and Georgia (Houck) McDowell. She was employed as a factory worker by Tritex and later in the janitorial field by Service Master. She enjoyed playing in a pool league, going to concerts, and was a Steelers fan. Diane was a lover of birds, especially parakeets and cockatiels. She had a pet parakeet and night hawk.

Diane is survived by a brother Jeff in California; three sisters, Mary of Texas, Carol Porto of Virginia, Florence of Altoona, PA; a nephew, Kenny Davis of Altoona, and a friend and companion of 28 years, Lee Cassidy, with who she made her home.

There will be no viewing or funeral service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.
