Ilean McCool Obituary

Ilean L. McCool, 67, of Brookville, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Penn Highlands Hospital of DuBois.

She was born on December 27, 1950, in Brookville, the daughter of the late George and Marie (Trayer) Beer.

Ilean was a 1968 graduate of Brookville High School.

Retired, Ilean worked as a secretary at Widmans, a local TV station, and Cooks Forest Trails.

She enjoyed watching TV, her favorites were westerns shows. In her younger years her hobbies included, crocheting, puzzles, and puzzle books.

Ilean is survived by a son, Michael McCool of Brookville, and a daughter, Michele Becker and her husband Wally of Sigel; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother, Dawson Beer and his wife Kathi of Franklin and a sister, Doris Yount and her husband Don of Franklin; she is also survived by her longtime companion, Randy Anthony.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Darlene.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 1-3 PM at the Furlong Funeral Home, corner of Broad Street and First Avenue, Summerville, PA.  A Funeral Service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Mike Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Clover Twp., Jefferson County.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or The American Breast Cancer Foundation.
