Ilene Cadigan

     Ilene M. "Goldi" Cadigan, 70, of Tionesta, died Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home.  

     Born June 16, 1948 in Brookfield, MO, she was the daughter of the late Archie R. and Bertha L. Hopper.

     Mrs. Cadigan  graduated from Pine Richland High School. 

     On November 28, 1988, she married William Allen Cadigan in North Carolina; he survives.

     Over the years, Mrs. Cadigan worked as a waitress, store clerk, truck driver, and factory worker, but she spent the past 25 years as a housewife.  She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in Tionesta and has held various positions there, including secretary and Sunday School volunteer.   She was  member of the Fire Police in Farmington Twp. and the Farmington Twp. Ladies Auxiliary in Leeper.

     In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Larry A. Thomas of Greenville, SC and Kenny L. Thomas of Sharon; one daughter, Nicole L. Troup and her husband, Ed, of Rimersburg; four grandchildren, Jessica, Jenifer, Kristopher, and Steffanie;  two great-grandchildren, Regan and Rylan; and one great-grandchild due to arrive in July.

     Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville PA.  A memorial service will take place at 3 PM on June 2, 2019 at the Good Shepherd Church in Tionesta.

     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the funeral home to help defray the cost.
