Joshua T. Ireland

Joshua T. Ireland, 23, of Brookville, formerly of Curwensville, died unexpectedly, Monday, April 23, 2018 at his home.

          Born May 9, 1994 in Dubois, Joshua was the son of Thomas P. and Cynthia P. (Smay) Ireland of Curwensville. They survive.

          A 2012 graduate of Curwensville High School, he had attended Waynesburg University and his intent was to continue his education in the fall at Penn State. Joshua also completed his four year obligation with the Army National Guard.

          On December 23, 2017 at Meade Chapel in Knoxdale, he married the former Victoria J. Kniseley. She survives.

         He was a member of New Hope Church in Clarion, as well as, Trout Unlimited, and was a Eagle Scout. He enjoyed fishing, especially fly fishing and hunting, and he loved Mustang cars.

            In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a stepson Maximus A. Chappel of Brookville; a brother, Kris L.(Holly) Ireland of Stoneham, MA; his grandparents, Clair and Ruth Ann Ireland of Curwensville, and Clyde and Marcia Smay, Sr. of Clearfield; great grandpa William Hoover, of Curwensville; and step grandfather, William Stoy of Ashville, PA; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

           He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother Peggy Stoy.

           Friends will be received from 10-11 am on Saturday, April 28,2018 at St Paul United Methodist Church, 72 North 6th Street Grampian, PA.  A funeral service follows at 11 am with the Pastor Collin Koch and Rev. Ed Gresick, officiating.  

          The family suggests memorial donation be made to a charity of one's choice.
