Judith Lee Crawford, 69, of Brookville, PA died on Monday June 25, 2018 in Brookville, PA.
She was born on June 9, 1949, the daughter of the late William J. and Betty J. (Andrew) Shellhammer. Judith was a graduate of Brookville Area High School, class of 1967. She was also a graduate of Punxsutawney Cosmetology School. On December 9, 1983 Judith was married to Dan Crawford in West Leechburg, PA. She was employed in accounting and as a legal assistant for Giant Eagle Corporate Office until retiring in 2010. She was of the American Baptist Faith.
Judith was involved in various community activities, including the Laurel Festival Board, Miss Teen America Pageants, and Leechburg Moose Club. She enjoyed reading, sewing, playing the piano and organ, and was a sports fan.
Judith is survived by a son, Corey M. Kocher of Clarion; a daughter Jackie L. Carrell and husband Frankie of Newport, TN; three sisters, Deborah A. Lawson of Brookville, Susan N. Walk of Brookville, and Pamela N. Davis of Lebanon, IN; two brothers, Richard A. Shellhammer of Rochester, NY and William J. Shellhammer Jr. of Cannonsburg, PA; five grandchildren, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Shellhammer.
No Public viewing or services are to be held at this time. A memorial service is to be held later at a time and place to be determined. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.
Per the family's request, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or Drug and Alcohol Abuse Charity of one's choice.
