Linda Mathews

Linda D. Mathews, age 65, of Sligo, formerly of Brookville, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, PA.

Linda was born on December 20, 1952 in Punxsutawney, PA.  She was the daughter of Laird and Isabel (Keller) Hays.  She was a graduate of Brookville Area High School.  She was employed as a dental technician and later as a cook in Brookville.  She was married to the late David Mineweaser.

Linda was a member of the Brookville Firemen's Club.  She enjoyed BINGO, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Linda is survived by two sons, Rod R. Mineweaser of Summerville and Mike S. Mineweaser of Denver, CO; a daughter, Sheena L. Smith and fiancée, David Troup of Clarion; a brother, Jack Hays and wife Betty of Brookville; and four grandchildren, Owen, Hunter, Colton, and Bella.

Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, David L. Mineweaser, and a sister, Joan Bloom.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday September 30, 2018 from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.  A Funeral Service will immediate follow with Pastor Jeff Foor officiating.
