Marlene Fielman

             Marlene Fielman, 82, a resident of Marienville, PA until 2017 when she and her husband moved to Mt. Washington, PA, died on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the St Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.  

             Born September 18, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of the late Frederick (Bud) and Gertrude Schmalz Geyer.

            She was a 1954 graduate of South Hills High School. On June 30, 1956 at the St. Mary Church in Crown, PA, she became the beloved wife of Richard Fielman, he survives.

            Marlene worked as a server in Marienville over the years at Bernie's Diner, Village Diner and Carol's Cafe. She was a member of St. Ann Church in Marienville, PA. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and she also enjoyed baking. She was very fond of the sun, she and her family enjoyed yearly beach trips to Ocean City, Maryland, the last trip being in 2017.

             In addition to her beloved husband she is the loving mother of 3 daughters; Vicki Patterson, Terri (Nico) Demelio and Lori (John) Sullivan, all of Pittsburgh, PA; loving grandmother of  3 grandchildren; Brett Patterson, Carly and Ryan Sullivan, all of Pittsburgh; a brother; Thomas (Joanne) Geyer and her sister in-law Sylvia Geyer both also of Pittsburgh. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, family, friends and her granddogs; Bella and Spike. 

            She is preceded in death by  her parents, a brother; Gary Geyer, 3 grandchildren; (triplets: Austin, Brandon and Kyle Sullivan).

            Family will receive friends  on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., 214 Virginia Ave. Mt. Washington, PA. An addittional opportunity for family to receive friends will be held on Friday January 4, 2019 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, Pa 16239. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church in Marienville with Rev. Christopher Barnes, pastor, as celebrant. Graveside committal services will follow at the North Forest Cemetery, Jenks Twp., Forest County.

            The family suggests memorial donations be made to St Ann Catholic Church in Marienville or the American Cancer Society.
