Nellie Virginia Eshbaugh

Nellie Virginia Eshbaugh, 93, of Summerville, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Born October 4, 1925 in Summerville, she was the daughter of the late Euphrastus Edward and Bessie Louella (Wayland) Carrier.  She was a graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School and DuBois Business College.  Virginia was married to H. Willis Eshbaugh on June 20, 1948 at the Pleasant Hill Bible Church where she was a lifelong member.

Earlier in life she was an active member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, and was presently a member of the Kingsville Homemakers.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, H. Willis Eshbaugh and a son Willis E. Eshbaugh both of the Summerville area.  Also surviving is a sister Nancy Rossey of Spokane, WA.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally J. Fleming who was married to Stanley Fleming and gave her two grandchildren, a grandson Jeffrey Max Fleming and wife Jade and their children, Jonathan, Ethan, Ashlyn, and Logan all of Clinton, Maine; and granddaughter Ginnie L. McKinley and husband Philip and their daughters Hadley and Ruby all of Clintonville, PA. 

Along with her parents and daughter, she is also preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Hannold and Sarah Brocious.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM and Saturday January 5, 2019 from 10 to 11 AM at the Furlong Funeral Home, corner of Broad St. and First Ave. in Summerville.  A funeral service will directly follow the visitation at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jay Bucci of Pleasant Hill Bible Church officiating.

Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Clover Twp., Jefferson County.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Bible Church.
