Raymond E. Cook, 74, of Crown, PA, passed away on Wednesday October 3, 2018 at the Clarion Hospital.
Born on February 8, 1944 in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late Aletha Cook Sleppy.
Raymond attended North Clarion High School. Raymond was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant before his discharge in 1962. Raymond married Rebecca A. Rutan on December 31, 1968 in NY. She preceded him in death two days prior to his death. He was employed as an equipment operator/welder. Raymond was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Allison Park, PA. Raymond was a member of the Masons and Shriners. He enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by a son, John Evans of Crown, PA; two brothers, Greg and Melvin Sleppy; and a sister, Robin Brocious. Also surviving are four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Donahue and a sister Sheila Lacombe.
At the family's request, there will be no public viewing. A celebration of life for Ray and Becky will be held at 2 PM Saturday October 13, 2018 at the Vowinckel Hotel. Interment will be in Cooksburg Cemetery, Barnett Twp., Forest County.
