Rose A. Stephens, 82, of Brookville, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.
Born April 24, 1936 in Parker, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Amy Jordan Goodman.
Mrs. Stephens was a graduate of Perryville School, near Parker. She went on to attend school to be a nurse's aide.
On January 14, 1956, she married Robert O. Stephens in Worthville; he survives and lives in Brookville.
Mrs. Stephens worked at Jefferson Manor in Brookville for 21 years as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the Corsica Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Richard Stephens, and his wife Doretha, of Brookville, Robert Stephens, and his wife Jill, of Summerville, Gary Stephens of Strattanville, and Jeff Stephens of Corsica; her daughter, Rosemary McEntire, and her husband Jerry, of Clarion; two sisters, Donna Barnhart of Clarion and Patricia Long of Franklin; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death, along with her parents, are one brother, John Goodman and two sisters, Dorothy Bailey and Louise Wolfe.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 6-9 PM at the Furlong Funeral Home, corner of Broad Street and First Avenue, Summerville, PA.
Interment will take place in the West Freedom Cemetery, Clarion County PA.
