Sandra L. Vandervort

Sandra L. Vandervort, 73, of Brookville, PA, died Sunday, July 29,  2018 at her home in Brookville.

Born March 1, 1945 in Brookville, PA, she was the daughter of the late McCurty Leroy and Lola Doreen (Hause) Main.

Sandra was a 1963 graduate of Brookville Area High School.  On September 28, 1963 in Emerickville,  she was married to Ronald J. Vandervort; he preceded her in death on June 3, 2013. 

Sandra was employed as a seamstress at Brookville Glove for many years.  She also worked as a secretary for almost twelve years at the First Church of God in Brookville (where she was a member).  She enjoyed photography.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly D. "Jeff" Walburn of Brookville, Gwen E. Vandervort of Pilot Point, TX; two brothers, Robert "Melody" Main of Brookville, Terry "Anita" Main of Austin TX; a sister, Snooks "Harvey" Case of Brookville; two grandsons, Nathan Walburn of Brookville, Brandon Walburn of York, PA; and a great granddaughter, Olivia Walburn of York, PA. 

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday August 1, 2018 from  6 - 8  pm at the Brookville First Church of God located at 201 Freedom Lane, Brookville, PA.  A funeral service will directly follow at 8 pm with Pastor Henry Scoff officiating.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville, PA.  

Interment will be in the Cedarview Memorial Park Cemetery, Clarion Twp., Clarion County, PA.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Church of God in Brookville, PA.
