Shannon D. (Heckathorn) Valencia, 38, of Marienville, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Snyder Memorial Home after a long battle with Huntington's disease.
Born June 24, 1979, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Heckathorn and Donna Marie (Lacher) Aikins; her mother survives and lives in Franklin.
Shannon attended Franklin Area High School. She was a homemaker and mother to her children.
She loved the outdoors, music, and her children.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her step-father, Robert Aikins of Franklin; three daughters, Trinity, Lindsey, and Maria, all of Franklin; two brothers, Justin Heckathorn of Oil City and Joshua Heckathorn of Oregon; two step-brothers, Robert Aikins III of Oil City and Benjamin Aikins of Titusville; and one step-sister, Melinda Aikins of Oil City. Also surviving are her maternal grandparents, Richard and Donna Lacher of Sandy Lake and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA.
