Timothy Larkin Obituary

Timothy Harold Larkin of Callensburg, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday March 9, 2019 at the age of 71.

He was born on October 19, 1947, in Butler, PA, the son of  the late Hope Horner Larkin and Harold Leroy Larkin.  He attended Keystone High School.  He was employed by C&K Coal Company/RFI Energy for 37 years as a coal loader, and served as a Township Supervisor for Licking Township, a position that he really enjoyed.  On July 4, 1980 he married Karen Yates Larkin, she survives in Callensburg.  Timothy attended the Callensburg Church of God.

Growing  up on a farm, he loved tending the land and raising all different kinds of livestock. When he wasn’t farming he enjoyed watching NASCAR races and old westerns, which he would watch over and over. During the warmer weather he enjoyed going up on top of the hill to his camp to picnic with his family and “burn a hotdog“ over an open fire. He also enjoyed his morning trips with his grandchildren to the local restaurant to talk “farming” with his friends. He was a member of the Canby Lodge #520 F&AM Masonic Lodge in St. Petersburg, PA.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Yates Larkin and was the loving father of  a daughter, Shelly Gamble and husband James Gamble of Parker, PA, a daughter, Gidget Larkin of Callensburg, PA, a daughter Kami Wyant and husband, Bill of Parker, PA, and a son, Todd Pago and wife Tara of Greenville, PA. He has 8 grandchildren, Kolt, Arin, Haylee, Mattea, Paige, Kobe, Bailey, and Dalton. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, Tyler, Halee, Larkin, Layton, Penelope, Attie, Hannah, and Evie, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother Randy Larkin and a sister Lisa Bailey, both of Callensburg.  A great granddaughter and great grandson are also expected to arrive in April.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Holly Lynn Dunlap and  granddaughter Kayla Ann  Dunlap.

Per the family’s wishes there will not be any funeral services.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.  A memorial service is planned for a later date.
