Abel M. P. Whitehead

Abel M. P. Whitehead, 5 day old, passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on June 26, 2026 at UPMC Magee Hospital, he was the son of Bella McArthur.

His birth was much anticipated and he was much loved by his family and friends prior to being born.

Thou his life of earth was short he will live on in others, as his family graciously donated his organs in the hope of saving other young lives.

In addition to his mother, Bella he is survived by his grandparents, Nathan and Toni Iacobelli Whitehead; his uncles, Elijah Irizarry, Matthew “Jr.” Hardison and Damon Whitehead; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

His family will receive friends from 1-2PM on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. with a memorial service to immediately follow at 2PM with Mike Smith, officiating.

His mother and family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Children’s Hospital for the exceptional care that Abel received while there.

In lieu of flowers his family suggests memorial donations be made to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Abel’s memory.
