Alayne M. Creese

Alayne M. Creese, 74, of Rimersburg, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 while at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born March 27, 1951 in Allegheny County, she was the daughter of the late William and Betty Madl McCanch.

Prior to her retirement she had worked in retail sales.

She enjoyed camping, gardening, cooking and bird watching, but her favorite pastime was going with her best friend, Kathy to Lake Erie to see the lighthouses and watching the tall ships.

Her survivors include her sons, John (Janisse) Creese, Jr. and Don Creese; her grandson, Dalton Creese; her 7 step grandchildren; her 22 great grandchildren; her brother; as well as her sister, Caryn King.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Creese; and her former husband and father of her children, John Creese, Sr.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, was honored to be entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Creese.

There will be no services held.

Her family suggests memorial contributions be made in her memory to the American Stroke Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
