Bette L. Zimmerman, 91, of Marienville, passed away Friday morning, February 6, 2026, while at Christ the King Manor.
Born in Marienville on August 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Keith and Charlotte Collier Whiteman.
She was a graduate of East Forest High Area School and was a member of Marienville Methodist Church.
On August 19, 1953, she married Edward L. Zimmerman; He preceded her in death on May 17, 2004.
Prior to retirement she was employed as an auditor for Forest County.
She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, M.A.C.A., Friends of the Library in Marienville and Forest County Historical Society.
Her survivors include her children, Ruth Ann Heath, Melody (Gary) Kozora, Amy (Rich) Manny, John (Brenda) Zimmerman and Heidi (Brian) Hilliard; her grandchildren, Mindy, Chris, Jenny, Bobby, Marissa, Libby, Adam, Jodi, Jeremy, Karley, Jaret, Delsin, Lane, Owen and Charlotte; and her 25 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dave Heath; as well as her sisters, Deloris (Doey) Miller and Nancy Allio.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 5-8PM at Marienville Methodist Church, 201 N. Forest St., Marienville, PA. 16239.
An additional hour of visiting will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10-11AM at the church prior to the funeral service that will be held at 11AM.
Interment will follow at North Forest Cemetery, Jenks TWP., Forest County.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Marienville Library.
Final arrangements for Mrs. Zimmerman have been entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.
