Blaine “Howard” Fyock, 78, passed away on July 2, 2024 in Brookville. PA.
He was born in Brookville on July 22, 1945, he was the son of Gerald Blaine and Alberta Maxine (Vandervort) Fyock.
He was a graduate of Brookville Jr/Sr High School and was a member of the Brookville United Methodist Church.
On February 3, 1964, he married the love of his life, Darla Jean Olson. Darla passed away just a short 10 months ago, on September 26, 2023. Had she survived a few more months, they were looking forward to celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Howard was part of the Standby Reserves with the United States Army. He worked for many years as a supervisor at Penelec in Warren, PA, and then he moved to Brookville where he worked for PennDot until his retirement.
Howard was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge for many years, as well as the Brookville Fraternal of Eagles, and Brookville Fireman’s Club.
Howard had many hobbies, but he mostly enjoyed “tinkering” around in his garage or in his house. He loved hunting and being around his family and friends from Ohio. Those who knew Howard knew that he was a “character” and were privileged to enjoy drinking his “Wineshine”.
Howard is survived by his son, Howard (Amy) Fyock; his daughters, Angie (Rick) Prosen, and Shellee (Rich) Delio; his grandchildren, Miranda (Jeff) Asel, Cayliff and Blane Worling, Seth Fyock, Ricky Prosen, Malloree (Artie) Littlefield, and Clancy (Eric) Renzelli; 4 great grandchildren, his unofficial family Tony, Tina, Svannah, and Brayden Ross as well as his Ohio “family” Glenn (Sandy) Anderson, Frank Deley, and Ray Marshall.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6 at the Furlong Funeral Home in Summerville, with visitation from 11am – 1 pm and a funeral service immediately after with Pastor Joe Short officiating.
