Briana Rearick

Brianna L. Rearick, 24, of St. Marys lost her battle with addiction on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Born in Dubois on February 10, 1998, she was the daughter of Christina Rearick Balsamo.

Briana attended St. Marys High School and in her youth,Weedville Wesleyan Methodist Church.

At the time of death she was employed by James the Butler.

A lover of animals, she was interested in giraffes and her beloved canine, Jethro. Her hobbies included drawing, doodling and Diamond Art.

Briana will be remembered as a beautiful soul and for having a “Heart of Gold”. She would do anything to help anyone in need…especially both of her brothers.

Those surviving are her parents, Jason and Christina Balsamo; her maternal grandfather, Bernard Rearick; her brothers, Jonathan Beimel and Steven Lucore; her uncle and aunt, Brent and Beth Rearick; her fiancé, Brandon Penfield; her stepson, Michael Penfield; her furry baby, Jethro; as well as extended family and friends too numerous to name.  

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Anna Rearick; maternal great grandmother, Goldie Rearick; and boyfriend from previous relationship; William “Bill” Russell.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. was entrusted with final arrangements for Miss Rearick.

There are no services planned at this time. 

Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Weedville, Elk County.

Her family suggests memorial donation be made in Briana’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
