Caitlyn Colarte

Caitlyn McKittrick Colarte, 34, of Marienville, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Born in Franklin on August 29, 1991, she was the daughter of Joseph (Kari) McKittrick and Kelly (Douglas) Welshans Anderson.

She was a 2009 graduate of East Forest High School. She graduated from Clarion University with a bachelor’s in human resources and a minor in marketing in 2014 and continued her education by obtaining her LPN licensure from Clarion County Vo-Tech in 2017.

She had continued her passion for nursing as a traveling nurse since 2020.

Her pastime included spending time with her daughters and her love of nursing.

Her survivors include her father, Joseph (Kari) McKittrick; her mother, Kelly (Bonus Dad- Douglas) Anderson; her daughters, Madelyn Colarte and Avaleigh Kirkwood; her brothers, Douglas “DJ” Anderson and Corey Faas; her sisters, Harlie Anderson, Rachel Bashline, Kassi Elder and  Autumn Flockerzi; her aunts, Lisa Best (Bruce) and Shauna Ochs; her cousins, Gregory “G.J” Best, Haleigh, and Peighton; her former sister-in-law, Flora (Dylan) Smith; her nephew and niece, River and Milah Smith ; her grandparents, Nettie (James) Gaston Lariviere; as well as her loved nieces and nephews, friends and extended family members.

Those preceding her in death are her former husband, Kenneth Colarte; and her maternal grandparents, Clyde and Sandra Welshans.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the United Methodist Church, 201 North Forest Street Marienville, PA 16239.

A funeral service will follow at church with Pastors Gene Hill, Ben Maxwell and Andrew Tygert, officiating.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. was entrusted with the final arrangements for Ms. Colarte.
