Carla S. McAfoos

Carla S. McAfoos, 58, of Mayport, died August 26, 2020 at Clarion Hospital.

Born in Clarion on December 31, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Rueben G. Edmonds and Twila Hepler Edmonds. She survives.

She was a 1980 graduate of C-L High School and attended Cottage Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church.

On May 16, 1981 she married James W. McAfoos. He survives.

Carla enjoyed reading, helping others, traveling and riding motorcycle. She loved to cook and spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a daughter; Heather Mc Afoos, of Shannondale; two brothers, John (Valerie) Edmonds and James (Melissa) Edmonds; and three sisters, Shelley (Ronald) Geist, Karen (Tim) Harris and Linda (Jerry) Shoemaker.

Her father preceded her in death.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, Pa. An additional visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 10-11AM at the Cottage Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church, 68 Champion Road, New Bethlehem, Pa. A funeral service will be held at 11AM at the church.

Interment will follow at Shannondale Union Cemetery, Clarion County.
