Carla A. Smith

Carla A. Smith, 65, of Kittanning, died Saturday, October 26, 2024, while at Butler Hospital.

Born on June 28, 1959, in Brookville, she was the daughter of Charlotte R. Huffman-Schreckengost and the late Carl L. Schreckengost, of Putneyville.

She was a1978 graduate of Redbank Valley High School.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a cook/baker at Sheppard’s Inn and Plyler’s Restaurant.

Her pastimes included crocheting, knitting, butterflies and she LOVED her pets. 

She was always a very generous and giving person.

Those surviving are her mother, Charlotte; her sisters, Pam, Kate, Bridget, and Holly; her nieces, Bryona and Michaela; her nephews, Dustin, Timothy and Waylon; her significant other, Harry Smith; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-nephew, Dusty, and her previous husband William Smith.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Smith.

There will be no services held.

Interment will be at McCrea Furnace Cemetery, Mahoning TWP., Armstrong County.

Her family suggests memorial donations be made in her memory to either the Diabetes Association or Orphans of the Storm.
