Carolyn Swisher

Carolyn h. Swisher, 88, of DuBois passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 while at DuBois Nursing Home following a decline in health. Born on June 12, 1937 in Helvetia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Barr Larson. She was a graduate of DuBois High School and DuBois Business College. She married Ron Swisher in Clearfield. He preceded her in death. Prior to retirement she had been employed in the past by Brockway Glass, Riverside Markets and was self employed for a time. She loved to crochet, travel and enjoyed singing as a member of a Barber Shop Quartet. Her survivors include her daughters, Cheryl (Deb Benninger) Vardy, Paula (Thomas) Pangallo, Jackie (Andrew) Canter and Jody Miller; her grandchildren, Jeremy Hepler, Bethany Clements, Chani Coyle, Jessica Antonia, Natasha Miller, Latrisha Miller, Abigail Render and Andrew Canter; her 11 great grandchildren; her brother, Bob Larson; her sisters, Louise Welsh, Jeanne (Gary) Curry, Janice (Al) Hart and Sherry (Ken) Weisner; and her faithful dog, Mandy. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Vardy; and her brothers, Tom, Larry and Gary Larson. There will be no services held. Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. hasbeen entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Swisher. Interment will be in McClure Cemetery, Big Run, JeffersonCounty.
