Cathy Eberly

Cathy M. Eberly, 65, of Sykesville, died Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Christ the King in Dubois.

Born March 19, 1958 in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Dorthea Shepler Ray.

On May 8, 1975 in Dubois, she married Ronald Eberly. He preceded her in death.

She attended Rathmel Church.

Her pastimes included watching scary movies and game shows, drinking Dr. Pepper and coffee, being outside sitting by a fire and listening to old country music. She LOVED spending time with her family and friends.

Those surviving are her daughters, Stacy Shimmel, Connie Brockett, Ronnie Jo Dixon and Sandra Lackey; her brother, Donald Ray; her grandchildren, Anthony Clarke, Summer, Kenneth and Heather Brockett,  Nicole, Alexus and Morgan Dixon, Cameron and Leanne Lackey; and her great grandchildren, Kenneth Brockett, III, Rihanna Cantrell, Thomas Bish and Willow Beck.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David Eberly; her brothers, Robert Ray and an infant; and her sisters, Shirley Himes, Betty Wolfe and Linda Gagnon.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Eberly.
