Charles F. Buchman, 81, of Marienville, died Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Penn Highlands Brookville.
Born on November 20, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl and Lenore Franz Buchman.
He was a high school graduate and continued his education at mechanics school in Cleveland.
He attended St. Josephs Catholic Church in Lucinda and proudly and honorably served his country with the U.S. Navy.
For the past 32 years he was the owner of Camp Watch Sales & Service, where he provided body work, mechanical needs and notary services to the community.
He was a 20+ year member of Heritage Foundation and was the current treasure of the Marienville Sportsman’s Club.
His pastimes included riding ATV’s, boating, cars and his dogs. As an avid outdoorsman he loved guns and shooting.
Those surviving are his son, Joseph Buchman; his daughter, Christine Buchman; his grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Predl and Bob (Shelby) Buchman; his great grandchildren, Ada Lynn, Brooklynn, Elsie and Emmett; his nephew, Dan (Chris) McLaughlin; his niece, Linda Arduini; his great nieces, Jenny and Lauren; and his partner of 33 years, Sheila Jarrell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret McLaughlin.
Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Buchman.
There are no services being held at this time. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.
