Charles “Chuck” Croyle, 79, of Warsaw TWP, Jefferson County,passed away Friday morning, April 14, 2023 at his home with his family at his side following an illness.
Born December 2, 1943 in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ruby Toy Croyle.
He was a graduate of Kittanning High School and prior to his retirement in 2006 he was a self employed contractor.
On April 4, 1987 in Ford City he married the former Linda Davis. She survives.
He was a member of Brookville FOE, Falls Creek FOE and the Brookville Firemens Club.
His pastimes included hunting, fishing, woodworking, cutting and splitting firewood and was an avid Steeler Fan.
Those surviving him in addition to his wife, Linda, are his son, Donald Croyle; his daughter, Denise Cornman; his brothers, Dick (Marguerite) Croyle and Bob (Terri) Ramer; his sisters, Sue (Tom) Rosal, Patty Lytle and Linda Turpin; his grandchildren, Shanna, Kerri and Jacob; his 4 great grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Ken (Patty) Davis; his sister-in-law, Bonnie (Mike) Davis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his 1stwife, Carol Westwood Croyle; his daughter, Crystal AnnBrendle; his son-in-law, James Cornman; his brother, Tom Croyle; his sisters, Ruthann Croyle, Shirley Chestnut and Peggy Ramer; his brothers-in-law, George Ramer, David Turpin, Sam Chestnut and Frank Lytle.
A memorial service and picnic will be held on May 6, 2023 at 11AM at the FOE Campground and Pavilions, 750 Hump Back Road, Brookville, PA. 15825.
