Charlotte Rowe

Charlotte B. Rowe, 84, of Punxsutawney passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 following a period of declining health.

Born on September 4, 1940 at home in Clover TWP., she was the daughter of the late Lewis “Jack” and Nellie Hughey Rowe.

She attended Brookville Area Schools and she worked at various offices in Brookville as a custodian,  and later at  Race Street Laundromat. 

She enjoyed collecting antiques, her pet birds and cats and playing Hawaiian guitar.

Her survivors include two nephews, Lewis L. Basinger, Sr. and Kevin D. (Kim) Snyder.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, John F. Snyder; Arthur, Charles, Baxter, Domer and Jack Rowe; and her sisters, Medora Snyder Basinger, Juanita Rowe Stark  and infant Elizabeth Rowe. 

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Ms. Rowe.

As per her wishes there will be no services held.

Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Corsica, Jefferson County.
