Charmaine C. Calfo

Charmaine C. Calfo, 79, of Marienville, died Friday, October 25, 2024 while at UPMC Presbyterian. 

Born on December 26, 1944 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Benedict and Edith Carbasho Calfo.

She was a graduate of South High School and was a member of St. Mary’s/ St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

On February 14, 2000 in Pittsburgh, she married James Hoffmann. He survives.

Prior to her retirement she had been employed by the University of Pittsburgh.  

Those surviving in addition to her husband James; are her son, Adam Unger; her daughter, Angelique Unger (Franco DiFalco); her stepson, Jason Hoffmann (Rhonda Goebel); her stepdaughter, Jamie Hoffmann; her grandchildren, Sterling and Baylin McCleaster, Kayden Hoffmann, Jordan Rowe and Adalynn Unger; her brothers, Kenneth and Mark Calfo; and her sister, Cheril Schnupp.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, PA. from 2-4PM and 6-8PM.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11AM at St. Ann Catholic Church in Marienville, PA. with Rev. James Power, Pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Forest County.
