Connie Sue Trayer

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Connie (Stormer) Trayer who left this world after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Connie is survived by her devoted spouse, Tonya Cable, and her loving daughter, Erin (Glenn) Wykoff. She was a proud and caring stepmother to Tonya’s children who she loved and raised as her own, Julian(Alex) Cable and Lytel (Steven Huseby) Cable. Her greatest joy was being “Grandma” to her cherished grandson, Conner, and granddaughters, Iris, Joelle, Kaylee, and Madison.

She is also survived by her mother, Carol Stormer, and her four sisters, Val (Duncan) Hetrick, Patty (Keith) Ishman, Jenny (Robert) Hill, and Terri (Bradley) Smouse. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Connie’s life was defined by love, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to her family. 

She was preceeded in death by her father, James T. Stormer.

Though her battle with cancer was difficult, she faced it with bravery and grace, inspiring those around her with her courage. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved, and her legacy of strength, love, and kindness will never be forgotten.

The “Celebration of Connie’s Life” will be held at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 6-8PM and Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11AM a funeral service will be held where family and friends can gather to honor the beautiful soul she was.
