Dale R. Neill

Dale Richard Neill, 78, of Sigel died Wednesday, February 25, 2026, he passed at home with his daughters by his side.

Born January 16, 1948, in Sigel, he was the son of the late Paul Neill Sr. and Catherine Greenawalt Neill.

He was a graduate of Brookville High School.

Dale honorably and proudly served his country in the Army.

For most of his life he was a welder and farmer.

Dale loved his daughters and family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing (especially teaching the grandchildren how), Sunday dinners when the whole family came over, boating on the river, camping, and traveling.

He enjoyed life, he used to say, “You get one ride through this life, make the best of it”. He was the calm in most storms and he will be missed.

Dale is survived by his daughters, Catherine Crawford Chamberlain and Stephanie (Dave) Swineford; his brothers, Paulie Neill and Andy Neill; his sister, Bonnie Confer; his grandchildren Tylinn, Peyton, and Megan Crawford, Addyson and Garrett Neill/Swineford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cheyenne Snyder; and his great granddaughter, Dixie.
