Daniel R. Anthony

Daniel R. Anthony, 70, of Mayport passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, while at Snyder Memorial.

Born on August 15, 1955, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Raymond and Phyllis Bish Anthony.

He attended Redbank High School and was of Christian faith.

On June 29, 1974, in Hawthorn, he married the former Catherine Long. She survives.

Prior to retirement he worked as a welder at Assensions Welding in Tonawanda and then at Cole Muffler in Buffalo where he was Assistant Manager for over 10 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and taking his 1972 Chevelle to car shows.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Randy Anthony; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Those preceding him in death in addition to his parents are his sister, Tammy Brooks.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville was honored to be entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Anthony.

There will be no services held.

Interment will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Sigel, Jefferson County.
