Darla J. Fyock

Darla J. Fyock, 79, of Brookville, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Penn Highlands Dubois following a brief illness.

Born in Brookville on July 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Warren “Rusty” and Sarah Smith Olson.

She was a graduate of Brookville Jr/Sr High School and was a member of Brookville First United Methodist Church.

On February 3, 1964 in Maryland, she married Blaine “Howard” Fyock. He survives.

Prior to retirement she held various clerical positions and at Seigworth Farmers Market.

She enjoyed beading, painting, reading and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Howard, she is survived by her son, Howard (Amy) Fyock; her daughters, Angela (Rick) Prosen, Mishelle “Shellee” (Rich) Delio and Kari Fyock; her grandchildren, Miranda (Jeff) Asel, Malloree (Artie) Littlefield, Clancy (Eric) Renzelli, Cayliff and Blane Worling, Seth Fyock, Ricky Prosen, Mya Cantley and Dorian Jackson; 4 great grandchildren; her brother, Dick (Peggy) Olson; her sister, Gloria (Klauss) Taylor-Lichte; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Loraine, Don, Bill and Joe Olson; and her sisters, Phyllis Harrison, Sally Olson and Kathryn McBride.

A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home for the family on Saturday, October 14, 2023 with Mike Smith, officiating.

In lieu of flowers her family suggests memorial donation be made in Darla’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
