David Stratton

David L. Stratton, 71, of Clarion, PA was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 11, 2026 surrounded by his family at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 3, 1954 in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Doris Frodelius Stratton.

On March 18, 1978 in Youngsville PA he married the love of his life, the former Gladys Bennett, She survives.

Prior to his retirement he spent over 40 years as a truck driver.

He attended Rimersburg Wesleyan Methodist Church.

His pastimes included wood working, keeping up with loved ones, listening to music, and cooking.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Michael (Christy) Stratton; his daughters, Rebecca and Crystal Stratton; his brothers, Dennis (Gayle) Stratton, Daniel (Donna) Stratton and Douglas Stratton; his sister, Joan (Kenneth) Christy; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Those preceding him in death in addition to his parents are his brother, Dale Stratton; and his sister, Kathleen McClain.

His family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 6:30-8:30PM and Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10-11:30AM at Rimersburg Wesleyan Methodist Church, 41 Wildcat Rd., Rimersburg, PA.

A funeral service will follow at 11:30AM at the church with Nephew Rev. Jeff Stratton, officiating.
