Diane L. Fitzgerald

Diane L. “Mimi” Fitzgerald, 71, of Corsica died Friday, August 8, 2025, at her home following an illness.

 Born in Brookville on February 10, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Albertson Zimmerman.

She was a graduate of Brookville High School and a member of Brookville Presbyterian Church.

She married William “Mark” Fitzgerald in Brookville. He preceded her in death.

Prior to her retirement she was employed as a secretary for Jefferson County Emergency Management.

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Her survivors include her sons, Jermie Fitzgerald and William “Scott” (Jenni) Fitzgerald; her daughter, Belinda (Steve) Tinari; her grandchildren, Markelle, Keileigh, Chase, Trey, Lance and Jorja; her great grandchildren, Adeline and Aspen; her brothers, Allan (Carol) Zimmerman and John Zimmerman; her brother-in-law, Timmy Zimmerman; her sister in law,Sue Zimmerman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her twin grandsons, Gabriel and Tyson Larsen; her brothers, Gary, Harry and Michael Zimmerman; her sister, Margaret “Peg” Dennison; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Zimmerman.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 6-8PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.

Interment will follow at St. John/ Windyhill Cemetery, Corsica, Jefferson County.
