Obituary

Diane L. Merat, 62, of St. Marys, died Monday, April 25, 2022 at her home following an illness.

Born in Altoona on March 24, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Harold Oldham, Sr. and Helen Alley Oldham.

She attended Altoona Schools and was of the Methodist faith.

On August 27, 1982 she married James Merat, Sr. He preceded her in death in 2003.

Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.

Those surviving are her companion; Russell Manners; her son, James (Nicole) Merat; her step daughter, Tina Kennedy; her brother, Bill Oldham; her sisters, Emma Burger and Gladys George; her grandchildren, Damian, Ethan, Kyle, Isaiah, Destiny, Cheyanne, Danielle and Travis; as well as 4 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers Irvin and Harold Oldham, Jr.; as well as her step daughter, Denise Ferguson.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with final arrangements for Mrs. Merat.

There will be no services held.

Her family suggests donation be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
