Dorlene S. Zimmerman

     Dorlene S. Zimmerman, 62, of Marienville, died Monday October 7, 2019 at the Clarion Hospital.    

     Born September  14, 1957 in the Brookville Hospital, she was the daughter
of the late Clyde and Ethel (Byers) Zimmerman.

     Dorlene was a graduate of East Forest High School.  She was employed by the
National Forest Service and later at the East Forest School as a
custodian.  She was a member of the Marienville VFW Post 1424 Ladies
Auxiliary. She was a member of the Marienville United Methodist Church. 
She enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

     Dorlene is survived by a brother, Daniel (Elizabeth) Zimmerman of Marienville; three
sisters, Linda Boice of Meadville, Cindy (James) Shaffer of Marienville, and
Mitzi (Greg) Bloom of Marienville.  Also surviving are five nieces, Mandy
Cason, Jennifer McCloskey, Kelly Martin, Casandra Bloom, Alicia Bloom; and four
nephews, Joshua Boice, Justin Shaffer, Bryan Zimmerman, Aaron Bloom and
numerous great nieces and nephews.

     Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Laura Martin.

     Family and friends will be received on Friday October 11, 2019 from 11AM - 12 PM, at
the Furlong Funeral Home,140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA.  The VFW
Auxiliary Post 1424 will hold a ritual at 11:30 AM. The Funeral service will
follow immediately at 12 PM.

     In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials may be made to the Marienville
Library, or the VFW Post 1424 Auxiliary.
