Dorothy R. Fox, 95, formerly of Vowinckel, PA. passed away, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Laurelbrooke Personal Care in Brookville, PA.

She was born December 6, 1922, to the late William & Nellie (Kerns) Silvis. She married Lee Fox on April 23, 1944, who passed away June 5, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her companion Ted Irwin.

While she was able, she loved to quilt, read, and do word search puzzles.

Dorothy is survived by four children: William L. (Rose) Fox of Four Oaks, NC; Kay D. Boyer of Clarington, PA; Rhudy L. (Karen) Fox of Vowinckel, PA; Debra L. Parrett of Marienville, PA. Six grandchildren: Todd W. (Heather) Fox of Memphis, TN; Todd (Robin) Boyer of Brookville, PA; Diana (Brian) Spicer of Groveport, OH; Andrew (Jodi) Fox of Clearfield, PA; Brandon (Emily) Fox of Ridgway, PA; Craig (Brittany) Parrett of Marienville, PA. Two step grandchildren: Laurie (Ronald) Rossie of Vermont, Carl (Krissy) Aube of Four Oaks, NC. Thirteen great grandchildren: Sophie & William Fox of Memphis, TN; Christopher (Kristen) Boyer of Fairview, PA; Tonya Boyer & Matthew Boyer of Erie, PA; Kari & Casey Spicer of Groveport, OH, Kristy Fox of Clearfield, PA; Zachery (Lauren) Fox of Clearfield, PA; Jordan & Koleman Fox of Clearfield, PA; Kingston & Rylyn Parrett of Marienville, PA. Two great-great grandchildren: Averie Boyer of Erie, PA and Brantley Fox of Clearfield, PA. Eleven step grandchildren: Emily (Kevin) Brown, Haley, Anna, Sophia, Isabel Rossie of Vermont; Chancelor & Theresa Aube of Four Oaks, NC; Samantha (Brent) Haskins of Vermont; Destiny, Desire, Daniel Peters of Ridgway, PA.

Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and all of those who adopted her as "their mom".

By the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held November 17, 2018 at 11 AM at the Greenwood UMC, Greenwood Road, Marienville, PA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA.
