On Feb. 5,2021 Edith Mertilla (Morgan) Mahan walked into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Sha was born July 4, 1928 to Vera and Roy Ritchey in Battle Creek, MI. She was the third of five girls: Grace Johnson, Helen Walker, Edith, Evelyn Seabolt of Muskegon, MI. and Marilyn Monje of Whitehall MI.
Edith spent most of her life in the Muskegon area until the death of her husband Calvin Mahan when she moved to Dayton, PA.
In 1944 she married George Morgan. They had two children Barbara (Herb) Iman of Dayton, PA. and Jerry (Marilyn) Morgan of Battle Creek, MI.
Edith worked and retired from Johnson Products, a division of Sealed Power.
As a young woman she began working in the church.
She loved to write, everything from simple poetry to kids programs for church.
She taught Sunday school for many years and had adult bible studies in her home.
Later in life she married Calvin Mahan who had four children: Joe (Cindy), Anne, Bob and Michelle. She had four grand children and nine great grandchildren. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
