Eileen Emily ( Travis) Kelsey, 88 of Brockport, went to be with the Lord and her Beloved husband James Edward Kelsey, on August 21, 2023 at 11:11pm.
Eileen and Jim, were soul mates by fate ( even if she could wash her own car). Their love sparked and they were united in marriage on November 27, 1968 in a small private ceremony at the Brockport United Methodist Church. They immediately began to build their life and home together, in Brockport, where they resided for 39 years together, making many beautiful memories . They raised two daughters together in their loving home. Kelly Lynn Kelsey ( Steve Randolph) of Dubois and Kimberly Lee Sierzega ( Charles Sierzega) of Punxsutawney. These two daughters extended they family with many grandchildren.
Kelly, with Steve gave her Savannah Leigh ( Danny Ciaramella) of Stroudsburg, Pa., Kayla Renee Randolph of Dubois, Katelynn Taylor ( Austin Sweet) of Penfield, Karson Tyler and Louden James both of Dubois.
Kimberly and Charles gave her, Robert William Sierzega of Sabula, Robin Elizabeth Sierzega of Reynoldsville, Amber Lynn ( Austin George) of Brockport, Danielle Eileen and Jamie Louise Sierzega of Punxsutawney.
Eileen was a plant manager, at Brockway Glass Plant 19, for 33 years before retiring to take on an active part of her Grandchildren's lives. She went above and beyond with sleepovers, crochet lessons, life lessons and homemade pancakes in Nana's kitchen at all hours. She had a way of making each one of her grand children each feel so loved and special.
She was so PROUD of her daughters and grandchildren. She would talk your ear off, if you gave her the opportunity to do so...
This year also brought her, her first Great Grandson Gunner Troy ( Katelynn and Austin Sweet) and first Great Granddaughter Dakota Ray ( Amber Lynn and Austin George).
Eileen was a staple in her family. She was an amazing cook, that could whip up incredible meals from scratch. She would be the first one to volunteer to cater any family event, from weddings to graduation parties and her famous New Years Party's for the extended Grove City Family and all her immediate family. She also looked forward to baking Christmas cookies every year for family and friends along side her daughter, She also enjoyed, reading her cookbooks, making bread and buns, making her famous " poor mans cake ", painting ceramics and crocheting beautiful afghans. She enjoyed the simple things in life, and just liked being included.
If you had the privileged to know this amazing woman, then you knew you were LOVED by her. There was always a pot of coffee on and a seat for you, at her kitchen table, Even the "kids" of Boggy Run Road, knew they were loved and welcomed in the Kelsey Home, day or night.
Eileen was a survivor of Breast Cancer and wore her Pink Ribbon with pride, but she would rarely accept a compliment or praise for any accomplishment or for any job well done. " it just needed to be done." she would say..
1 Corinthians 15:10
But, by the Grace of God, I am what I am: and His Grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the Grace of God which was with me.
Eileen was born a Travis, her parents Jessie James and Twila May Travis of Munderf, Pa. Her parents, seven brothers and one sister proceed her in death, along with her, Mother and Father in law and two Brother in laws.
Even now, with Eileen's physical life here on Earth being passed, she has earned her Wings for her new Everlasting Eternal journey to begin in Heaven. May she fly high with the Angels and her wings never tire,
