Erik Lowman

Erik W. Lowman, 47, of Clarion, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his home.

Born in Clarion on January 6, 1977, he was the son of Gary and Mary Sue Dankovich Lowman, raised by Mary Sue and her partner, Terry Thomas. Erik graduated Clarion Area High School, class of 1995 and attended Clarion University. His is survived by his brother, Ryan Lowman, also of Clarion. Erik’s life took him through Pennsylvania, living years in both Johnston/Altoona and Pittsburgh. He enjoyed cooking immensely and worked for a period of time as a cook. He also found meaning in the field of social services and spent many years in as a direct care professional. Outside of work, Erik enjoyed caring for his many pets over the years - from ferrets to his most recent pups, Pokey and Buster. Erik was an avid concert go and music fan, starting to follow bands such as Phish, Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers as far back as his early teens. Erik’s wry sense of humor and willingness to do anything for a laugh and friendship will never be forgotten.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Lowman.
