Ethel L. Eck

Ethel I. Eck, 86, of Vowinckel, PA., passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Brookville Hospital.  
Born on December 22, 1938 in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late James and Marguerite Blair Hartzell. 
On January 18, 1957 she married Richard A. Eck, Sr. He precedes her in death. 

She was of Methodist faith.
Ethel was retired from HDI, Marienville, PA. 

She loved going to yard sales, being outside doing yard work, gardening and spending time with her little dogs, Daisy and Peanut. Another of her favorites was celebrating the Christmas Holiday with her family and loved ones. 
Those surviving are her son, Richard Eck, Jr.; her 3 grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) Eck, Jamie (Randy) Phillips and Diana Barnes; her sister Clara Stauffer: as well as her 6 great-grandchildren, Theresa, Tyler, Travis, Damion, Andrew “AJ” and Alexander. 
In addition to her husband, Richard; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherri L. Eck.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, PA. from 11AM- 1PM. 

A funeral service will immediately follow at 1PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Redclyffe Cemetery, Forest County.
