Evelyn Minick

Evelyn Minick 92, of Mayport, Pa.  passed away suddenly Tuesday October 2, 2024.
Born September 7, 1932 in Jefferson County, WV, she was the eldest child of Virgil and Dorothy Crews.
She married Dark E. Minick; he proceeded her in death on August 9, 1992.
Prior to her retirement, Evelyn and Darl owned Minick Real Estate in Niles, Ohio which included apartment building rentals and construction.
In 1974 they purchased a property in Mayport for recreation and this became her perma bent home a short time later.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and quilting. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding.
One of her final quilting projects was making a large number of patriotic lap quilts which were donated for distribution to disabled veterans.
Her survivors include daughters, Linda (Henry) Savich, and Elaine (Terry) Hook, 7 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Clover, her sisters, Patty and Jean, brother,Bud, and grandson Nathan.
Private family services were held on Friday Oct. 11, 2024 with Pastor Larry Piper, officiating. Interment will follow at the Hawthorn Cemetery, Clarion County, Pa.
