Frances J. Gadley

Frances J. Gadley, 102, of Marienville, died Sunday, March 2, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Natrona Heights.

Born in James City on May 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Weitz Gaston. 

On April 9, 1945 in Kane she married Frederick Gadley. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1999.

During her working career she had worked for 15 years at Knox Glass and went on to work at Forest Area School until her retirement in 1988.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Marienville and a former member of St. Ann’s Women’s Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Gadley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sisters, Cecelia Popielski and Vinska Gaston.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville from 10-11:30 AM .

A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:30 AM also at the funeral home at on Saturday, March 8, 2025 with Rev.Michael Polinek, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will be at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Marienville, Forest County.
