Genevieve H. McManigle

Genevieve H. McManigle, age 90, of Brookville, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville, PA.               

                Born February 17, 1928 in Brockway,  she was one of the seven children of the late Joseph E. and Laura E. Raybuck Holt.  On June 25, 1949, Genevieve married William McManigle at the Presbyterian Church in Brookville.  He preceded her in death on July 11, 2014.

                Genevieve went to school in Brockway.  She was employed at Owens Illiniois and Brockway Glass for over 35 years.  She was a member of the Zion Methodist Church.

                Genevieve was a member of the Brookville Fireman's Club and the Fraternal Order of the Eagle #983.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and being a 4-H and Girl Scout leader.  She also enjoyed teaching Bible School.

                She is survived by two sons, Mark "Marlene" McManigle of Brookville and William "Barbara" McManigle of Luverne, Alabama and a daughter, Sherry "Scott" Young of Brookville.  Also surviving are five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

                Her family will receive friends on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.  They will also receive friends from 10-11 AM on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the funeral home with funeral services following at 11 AM.

                Interment will be at the Beechwood Cemetery in Washington Twp, Jefferson County.
