George “Butch” St Laurent Obituary

George L. “Butch” St. Laurent, 61, of Brookville died Saturday afternoon, September 17, 2022 at his home following an illness.

Born on February 13, 1961 in Newfane, NY, he was the son of the late Peter St. Laurent, Jr. and Linda Brooks St. Laurent Raymond.

He attended Brookville High School and proudly served his county with the U.S. Marine Corps.

On October 11, 1986 at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Summerville, he married the former Jerri Yount. She survives.

Prior to retiring due to illness he was employed at Hometown Market in Brookville as a meat packer and along with his wife owned and operated Sonic Sounds DJ Service.

He was a “Collector of Many Things” but he passionatelycollected records and albums from all music genres.

Those surviving in addition to his wife, Jerri and mother, Linda Raymond; are his brothers, Robert St. Laurent, Joseph (Merry) St. Laurent, Ronald (Mary Ann) St. Laurent, Andre (Niccole) St. Laurent, William (Lisa) Raymond and Peter (Karen) Monahan; his sister-in-law, Kristin St. Laurent; and special family friend, William Courson.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by brothers, John St. Laurent and Kenny Monahan.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 6-8PM and on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 10-11AM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11AM at the funeral home with Honor Guard Service.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made in his memory to Gateway Humane Society.
