Hope A. Ross, 90, of Summerville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 28, 2022 while residing at Jefferson Manor.
Born in Summerville on July 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Pearle Carrier Hummel.
She was a 1949 graduate of Summerville High School.
Prior to her retirement in 1996 she had been a CNA at Jefferson Manor and Brookville Hospital.
She was a member of Summerville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, house cleaning, reading her Bible, journaling, word searches, putting puzzles together and going to church.
Those surviving are her son, Rick Ross, his wife, Lisa; her sister, Dorothy Cramer; her 4 grandchildren, Melora (Todd) Brown, Jessica (Chris) Snell, Ashley (Korry) Lindemuth and Tyler (Molly) Ross; her 6 great grandchildren, Lauren, Logan, Madelynn, Molly, Maddox and Phoebe; as well as many niecesand nephews; and extended family members and friends that she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Fredric R. Ross; a daughter, Vicky L. Ross; and a sister, Mary K. Reitz.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11AM at Summerville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dianne Hetrick, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Ohl Cemetery, Beaver TWP, Jefferson County.
