Ida Mae Fenstermaker

Ida Mae Fenstermaker, 77, of Rimersburg, formerly of Summerville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at UPMC Seneca.

Born on March 2, 1948 in Meadville, she was the daughter of Frank Bair and Atheline Thomas Bair Beck Baughman.

She attended Brookville High School. 

On April 17, 1970 in Summerville she married James W. Fenstermaker. He preceded her in death.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a care nurse at Jefferson Manor and New Light.

She enjoyed her early morning coffee while sitting outside and watching the sunrise with her neighbors, playing BINGO, going camping, gardening and crocheting when she couldn’t be outside.

Those surviving include her daughters, Rhonda Fontanelle, Robin (Kevin) Allshouse and Leanne (Barry) Stewart; her stepchildren, Brenda (David) Grinnage, Stephen (Crystal) Fenstermaker, David Fenstermaker and Joseph (Ashley) Fenstermaker; her grandchildren, Derek Raybuck, Adam Raybuck, Bryan (Rachel) Birch, Andrew Birch, Jared (Amanda) Birch, Braxton Stewart, Layton (Mya) Stewart, Jonathan Miller, David Grinnage, Ashleigh (Jeff) Tackitt, Brittany (Shane) Crockett, Kathryn (Neil) McCorkle, Cristin (Timothy) Wheatley, Andrea Moralez, Stacey Fenstermaker, Searra Fenstermaker, Kelly Fenstermaker and Megan (Jordan) Young; her 42 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; her twin brother, Richard (Linda) Bair and brother, Steve (Barb) Bair; her sister, Janet Fultz; a special friend, Joey Dunkin; and her cat, Buttons.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother , Kenneth Bair; as well as her sister, Nancy Bowley.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from noon-2PM and 4-7PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor Curtis Twigg, officiating.

Interment will follow at Vandervort Cemetery, Clover Township, Jefferson County.
