James L.” Vern” Cochran,78, of Marienville, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026 while at Clarion Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born January 3,1948 in Brookville, he was the son of the late Clark and Lucell Davenport Cochran.
He attended east Forest High School.
On February 25, 1995, he married the former Antoinette “Toni” Rudolf. She survives.
Prior to his retirement in February 2010, he had been employed by Highland Forest Products in Marienville.
He enjoyed horseback riding.
In addition to his wife, Toni, he is survived by his son, Joseph Clark; his grandchildren, Karrisa, Cassie and Bradley; his great grandchildren, Leah, Avery, Carter and Brantley; his brothers, Nelson Cochran and Gerald Cochran; and his sister, Leona Grove.
Those preceding him in death in addition to his parents are his son, Harry “Jim” Cochran; his daughter-in-law; Susan Cochran; and his sisters, Aletha Mossburg and Charlotte McFarland.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville was honored to be entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Cochran.
