James E. Johnston, 66, of New Bethlehem passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026 while at Clarion Healthcare.
Born in Clarion on February 13, 1960, he was the son of the late James and Patty Hornberger Johnston.
Prior to retirement he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for KMS Refractory and the former New Bethlehem Burial Service.
He enjoyed dirt bikes, four wheelers, and muscle cars, anything with a motor in it.
His survivors include his sons, Adam Holibaugh, Eric (Karissa) Holibaugh and Timothy Holibaugh; his daughter, Sara Holibaugh; his 5 grandchildren; his brother, Jeff Johnston; his best friend, Trudy Nordick; and his cat, Mr. Kitty.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Doug, Todd and Greg Johnston; and his sister, Amy Johnston.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. had the honor of providing the final arrangements for Mr. Johnston.
